3.31. Create process failed code 2?

When trying to upgrade my software I get a message that says: Unable to execute file estimate.exe create process failed code 2. The system cannot find the file specified. I press OK on the error and it goes away but when I bring up EstiMate it is still at the old version. What do I do?

Look carefully at where the upgrade wizard is pointing for the data and make sure the folder its pointing too actually has the estimate.exe file resident in it.

By default the path to the .exe file is:
C:\Program Files\EstiMate

However if you have moved the .exe then you will need to tell the upgrade wizard where the file has moved by clicking on the browse button and navigating to where the .exe is located.

The upgrade from Quick Quoter to Estimate Enterprise is like moving from a very nice comfortable pop-up camper into a luxurious motor home with all the comforts. Now THIS is some serious success vehicle!! Don't get me wrong they both get the job of figuring out how much to charge done - the fact that Quick Quoter is free brings this capability to everybody with sense enough to take advantage of your generosity. But, the availability of the additional features in the Enterprise edition already has me thinking bigger in my plans for developing the signmaking part of my business.
