Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How do I enter and price silkscreening on T-shirts?
The best way is to purchase the Screen Printed Garments plugin that is specifically designed for this purpose. The olde method is documented below but be advised you will see best results using the Screen Printed Garments plugin.
1. Click Edit Data Files->Ingredients->Substrates. When the edit substrates list comes up, click the button that says 'New.'
2. Enter the T-Shirt as a substrate. In this case height and width are arbitrary, although we recommend that you use 18'x24' as this is a standard size you are likely to remember.
3. Put in the cost of the shirt and the markup.
4. Check the box that says 'automatically enter the height and width.' This will ensure that when you are pricing screen printing on a t-shirt you will use a 'whole' shirt and therefore charge your customer appropriately.
5. Save the new substrate you have entered by clicking the OK checkmark. Then click the OK checkmark on the list of substrates to close it as well.
6. Click Quick Quote->Silk Screen Printing, select the new T-shirt entry as your substrate and proceed as you would for any silkscreened sign. Note that the height and width of the shirt are entered automatically because you checked the 'automatically enter height and width' check box when entering it as a substrate.
7. That's it! Happy Pricing!
