Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How do I get production notes to retain information between jobs?
In order to fully answer the question an explanation is needed on what the production and post production notes were designed for.
1. Production notes. The production notes section of the workorder takes its information from the "production notes non printing" section of the job screen. It was designed so that production people could see notes about the job that the customer would not see. This is job specific so information typed in the "production notes non printing" section of the job screen will not be retained on new jobs.
2. The post-production notes are not electronically accessible. This report was designed for a production person to make notes on a printed hard copy work order *after* the work has been done.
That said to get it to retain information from job to job you will need to change your quoting procedure.
1. Create a template that has the info you want to retain typed in. Information on creating templates is located at

2. To quote future jobs with the production information retained click archives > explorer > templates > select template > click new job button.
