Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How Do I Price Sandblasted Signs in EstiMate?
1. From the substrate list, select redwood, SignFoam, or any other substrate that you would like to blast. If what you want is not already in the list, you can click the icon to the right of the list that looks like a book. This will take you to the substrate list where you can add it to the database.
2. Enter a quantity of one, sides of one, height of 24?, and width of 36?.
3. Check the Painted/Vinyled/Treated checkbox and select four coats of paint for the background. For the time being, ignore the ?Non-rectangular, must be shaped? checkbox.
4. From the first list of vinyls, select ?SandMask (25 mil).? Set the coverage on this to 100 percent. This covers the sandblast mask necessary for this job.
5. From the second list of vinyls, choose ?One-Shot Lettering Enamel? and set the coverage to 100 percent. This will take care of the paint you will use to decorate the sign.
6. Now go over to the artwork complexity slider and adjust it until the design time (you will find this just above the ?Calculate Total? button) reflects approximately 30 minutes, to make sure you get paid for your time to design the sign.
7. Now look carefully at the production time, which you?ll find just under the design time. Chances are, since this is a sandblasted sign, your production time will be a bit low. Adjust the general difficulty level slider upward until the production time looks right to you.
That?s it! Pricing sanblasted signs has never been as easy and accurate.
