3.78. EstiMate will not open after receiving a permanent key?

I received my permanent unlock key after evaluating EstiMate and deciding on my plugins. Now when I try to open the program nothing happens. I have tried rebooting, opening the software from the icon on my desktop and from Start > Programs and nothing happens not even an hourglass or error message. What do I need to do to get EstiMate open again?

1. Make sure that your data is backed up that you can restore later. If you do not have a backup, find your EstiMate data folder (usually located at C:\Program Files\EstiMate) and copy it to your windows desktop, My documents or other easy to find location. Alternatively you can also save it to a high-capacity drive like Zip or CD-Rom. Once you are sure your data folder has been backed up appropriately, proceed to step 2.
2. Uninstall EstiMate from the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel.
3. Delete the EstiMate directory. Right-Click on your start icon and select explore. Windows Explorer will appear.In the list of files on the left, find and open the program files folder, find the folder that says EstiMate, right click on it and delete it. Close Windows Explorer.
4. Re-install EstiMate. Insert your EstiMate CD-Rom in your computers CD-Rom drive and select "Install EstiMate" from the autorun screen that appears. Make sure to select "Complete Installation" from the "What To Install" screen and proceed with the remainder of the installation.
5. Restore your backed up data folder. Note: You can skip this step if you did not complete step #1 because you did not have any data you wanted to keep. Again, open Windows Explorer, locate the Program Files folder, and open the EstiMate directory. You will see a folder named data. Right click on the folder and select rename. Rename the folder "DataOld" without the quotes, and press the Enter key. Copy your data folder from its backed up location and paste it into the EstiMate directory.
6. Open EstiMate. Make a note of your install serial number (ISN) and contact EstiMate for a key. (Sales: 888-304-3300x14; Support: 828-274-7142x13) If it is after hours run EstiMate in evaluation mode.
7. Enter new key and unlock software.
8. Your software should open normally and you should be able to see your estimates, customers, etc. If you get error messages when trying to open EstiMate, close the program and browse the directory where you pasted the data folder. a. confirm that it is indeed the right directory and b. that you pasted the **actual data** and did not simply create a shortcut to the data.
