Home → EstiMate Version 1 → General FAQ → Is it possible to map fields from Outlook in Estimate?
In terms of "mapping" the fields from Outlook, a function for this has not been implemented at this time. This function is being evaluated for a future release of EstiMate.
As for getting the information you want, in terms of the name it is important that the first and last name be all one string of text in Outlook, then EstiMate will import the full name.
In regard to pulling in more information into EstiMate beyond the basics of name, address, telephone, zip etc. this also is being reviewed for a future release of EstiMate.
However, concerning import of a customer web address, the following procedure may be helpful to you.
1. Import the contacts from Outlook into EstiMate as normal.
2. Click Edit Data Files > People > Customers (or suppliers as the case may be).
3. Highlight the individual record you wish to import the web address into and press the Edit Button.
4. Click the Grab Contact From Outlook! link on the lower right.
5. Select the contact from the dropdown list and press the OK button.
6. EstiMate will import the web address.
7. Click the green OK checkmark twice to save the record and exit the database.
