Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How do I send an estimate through email?
Emailing your estimate is a snap with EstiMate. It's a simple matter of hitting the email button instead of the print button when you are ready to print an estimate.
Just like when printing an estimate, click Print > Estimate from the estimate screen to get started.
This brings up the print a report screen.
Once you have filled in all the options on the Print A Report screen, click the email button instead of the print button to proceed.
This brings up the email options screen.
From this screen you can enter the key items of information EstiMate needs to send the email. The list of email addresses will contain all the email addresses from your customer list, and the current customer's email address (if found) will be in the box ready to go.
You can enter a subject in the list, and the software will remember the email subjects you have typed.
You have a number of options for the style of the email.
· Text (attached): sends the quote as a text-only email attached as a .txt file to your email.
· Text (body of email): inserts the quote into the body of your email as text.
· PDF (attached): by far the best way to email a quote, this attaches a PDF file to your email which allows your customer to view the quote exactly as it would look in print. To view the PDF file your customer will need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader® from www.adobe.com.
